“Twilight”
This quilt was used by Paula Nadelstern in her Simple Symmetry class at the 2014 International Quilt Festival in Houston as an example of how to take “simple symmetry” to a more advanced level. Paula told me the class was “blown away” by the quilt!
The arch at the top is half a kaleidoscope. It was 19 wedges, each with 9 pieces. That’s 171 fussy cuts pieces just for the arch!
This is, what I hope to be, the first in a series of cathedral-window inspired quilts.
