About Me
About Me
I am an artist and a quilter who uses textiles and fiber as my creative medium.
I was an art teacher in a public school system for 10 years. Currently I am the Director of Communications in the College of Engineering and Computing at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
I have worked in various art media, including silversmithing, stained glass work, pottery, bead work, photography, and graphic arts. Since being introduced to contemporary quilting in 2003, my art work is now primarily quilting. I also enjoy hand-dyeing fabric for use in my quilts.
My quilts have been included in juried shows and invitational exhibits. I curated a quilt exhibit of 40 quilts and supervised a mini-quilt auction to accompany the play “The Quilters” at the Oxford Community Arts Center, Oxford, OH. I have numerous art quilts in private and public collections.
In addition to quilting, I still enjoy photography and have had photos juried into several shows, including the International Quilt Festival-Houston. Then there is the jewelry making!
